Using banner stands in a tradeshow
booth can be a very effective way of grabbing delegate's
attention, or simply livening up the image of the booth itself.
However, banner stands do have one disadvantage, and that is
that for the most part they are completely static. But now this
problem has been resolved with what is known as a scrolling
banner stand, which enables you to have the graphic moving in
order to catch the attention of more people. There are
essentially two types of scrolling banner stand, and they are
the top hanging variety, and the floor mounted variety. Each of
these comes with telescopic rods in order that graphics of
variable height may be displayed, while many also come with
reversible motion, and a carry case as standard. This article

The top hanging variety of
scrolling banner stand is, as the name suggests, a variety which
hangs from either a roof or a wall. The banner stand is fixed to
the roof or the wall using the fixtures provided, and will then
rotate the graphic depending on the settings that have been
chosen. One of the big advantages of the top hanging scrolling
banner stand is that the length of the graphic can be fairly
varied. This is important when you want to display a fairly long
banner graphic or one that is of nonstandard length.
The floor standing scrolling
banner stand is one that, quite simply, rests on the floor, and
is kept stable by a fairly heavy base. Unlike the top hanging
banner stand, the floor mounted variety cannot display a graphic
of a length that is too varied. This minor disadvantage can be
offset, however, with the fact that this type is much easier to
setup and to use, in that the graphic can be easily changed, or
more easily than it could when using a top hanging banner stand.
Both of these types of
scrolling banner are usually available with telescopic rods,
which enable the banner to be displayed at various heights. As
mentioned above, the wall hanging stand can enable you to
display a banner of larger length than a floor standing type,
though with the use or telescopic rods even the floor standing
type can display a banner usually up to a height of 72 inches.
Scrolling banner stands usually
operate in a continuous motion mode, which means that the
graphic is displayed constantly, therefore giving a much greater
chance that delegates at a tradeshow or convention will notice
the graphic being displayed and come to look at your booth. Many
of the scrolling banner stands on the market also come with
reversible motion, which as the name suggests enables the image
to be displayed one way and then the other.
In terms of portability,
scrolling banner stands can be as portable as many of the other
types of banner stand on the market, usually being sold with a
carry case as standard, enabling you to easily move the stand
around the tradeshow floor or place it in whichever part of your
booth you choose.
As can be seen, there are many
advantages to using a scrolling banner stand, not least the fact
that an image which moves is much more likely to grab the
attention of a delicate as a tradeshow in an image which is
purely static. Allied to this, is the fact that these banner
stands can often display banners of various widths and various
heights, giving a lots of flexibility to your display plans.
