One of the most important things
when doing an exhibition at a tradeshow or conference center is
to make use of portable display stands, since these make the job
of setting up and moving your display to different parts of your
display booth much easier and much less time-consuming. However,
there are several different types of portable display stands,
and these include frameless display stands, pipe and drape
display stands, panel display stands, and tabletop display
stands. This article will look at these different types of
portable exhibits in turn, and discuss some considerations which
need to be taken into account when buying a portable display
stand to be used at a tradeshow or convention.
Frameless display stands are among
the most portable of all types of stand. Some frameless systems
weigh less than 50% of that of a system with frames, which makes
it incredibly easy to move around the tradeshow and in the
tradeshow booth, not to mention when you are in transit to the
tradeshow itself either by air or by car. Another advantage of
frameless display stands is that they are very quick to set up,
sometimes in a matter of minutes, and are highly configurable,
giving the ability to leave out or add panels at some date in
the future. The frameless type is one of the simplest portable
trade show displays.
Pipe and drape displays are a
very simple type of display, but yet can be very useful at a
tradeshow when something simple is required and which gives ease
of setup. The way that this type of display works is that
fabric, such as cotton, is draped over a frame that is made up
of pipe work, therefore supplying a quick and easy backdrop to a
tradeshow booth, and one that is relatively inexpensive when
compared to other types of display. On the other end of the
scale, panel display stands, or simply panel displays as they
are sometimes known, are much heavier and sturdy, which can be
useful when you are looking for a strong backdrop to your
tradeshow booth, something which is especially important when
you're exhibiting at a tradeshow which is especially busy. The
panel displays are usually rectangular in shape and a covered
with fabric such as cotton or silk, and can be stood together,
and connected using bolts, in order to make a solid backdrop
which looks much like a wall. A panel display can be moved
around to make a different shape, which makes them reusable, and
enables them to be used at various times in the future at
different exhibitions.
For those who do not want
anything too complicated when they are displaying at a
tradeshow, a tabletop display may fit the bill just right. A
tabletop display usually uses a pop-up panel display, which
means that they are very light and very quick and easy to setup.
Some tabletop displays also use a panel type construction, and
these can also make a good graphic impact. However, it should be
borne in mind that a tabletop display will not have the same
impact as a larger display such as a panel or frameless display.
It is however, highly portable, and very lightweight.
As can be seen, there are
several options for the tradeshow exhibitor looking for a
portable display stand. Portable exhibits come in many shapes
and sizes, including frameless display stands, panel display
stands, and tabletop display stands, all of which have certain
advantages and disadvantages. Before deciding on the type of
portable display stand you want, take time to research the
various options at the many online tradeshow suppliers and find
a portable display stand that fits your needs and budget. |
